Family Day Care Services is a non-profit, charity organization that has a long and illustrious history of offering families and children in the Toronto, York, and Peel Regions top-notch early learning and child care services. We are a multi-service organization with over 500 employees that offers a wide range of services to children and families in the Greater Toronto Area, including 29 Child Care Centers, 49 Before and After Care programs, 204 Licensed Home Child Cares, 9 Early ON programs, 2 Homework Plus programs, and Special Needs Resourcing.
Applicants Need To Meet The Following criteria:
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the beginning of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada following applicable provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. • Be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the beginning of employment. • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Work Objective
To collaborate with our early childhood educators, program facilitators, and assistant teachers, Family Day is looking for a childcare worker assistant. For children under the age of twelve, the Child Care Worker Assistant will assist with developmentally and educationally appropriate programs and activities in early learning and development settings.
Job Duties:
• Assist with age-appropriate programs and activities in a group setting for children in an early learning and development environment (0–12 years old).
• Assist the educator in carrying out job-related tasks such as organizing, creating, and executing programs that cater to kids' interests and offer chances for both active and quiet play, both indoor and outdoor activities, and both solo and group activities.
